John 15:4
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”
Abide Church
Emerged from the second service at Firm Family Church, where Matt Watkins served on as the pastor of this growing sub community. Firm’s elder board agreed to send off Matt to start a new church plant with the congregation that he had been overseeing.
Together with a core group of godly individuals, identified as the “Transition Team”, we prayerfully took the first steps toward planting a Abide Church. We have now officially launched! We fellowship every Sunday at 9am at Chapman Elementary School in Chico.
Leading Up to this Launch Date
Abide has already experienced God’s faithfulness. Recently a large group of pastors met and affirmed Matt as pastor and prayed for and made a collection for this new gathering. We are so blessed and privelaged to serve God along side His body in our area.
