Whether you’ve been following Jesus for years or are simply exploring faith and asking questions, we want you to feel welcome at ABIDE Church.
We are a close-knit church family in Chico centered on Jesus, grounded in Scripture, and committed to growing together in authentic community.
Our gatherings are simple, sincere, and focused on Christ. You won’t find a performance-driven atmosphere or pressure to “fit in.” Instead, we hope you’ll experience meaningful worship, thoughtful teaching, genuine relationships, and space to encounter God alongside others.
Sunday Gatherings
We gather every Sunday at 10:00am for worship, prayer, teaching, communion, and fellowship.
Services typically include:
- Worship through music
- Prayer and Scripture reading
- Bible-centered teaching
- Communion
- Time to connect with others before and after service
Our teaching includes both expository preaching through books of the Bible and topical messages that help apply biblical truth to everyday life.
We value theological depth, spiritual formation, and practical discipleship rooted in the Word of God.
Praise & Worship
Our worship time is contemplative, sincere, and centered on Jesus.
We desire worship song selections that engage both the heart and the mind, creating space for reflection, prayer, thanksgiving, and response to God.
You’ll hear a mix of modern worship songs, Scripture-rich lyrics, and moments of quiet reflection throughout the gathering.
A Church Family for All Ages
One of the things people often appreciate about ABIDE is the intergenerational nature of our church family.
On any given Sunday, you’ll see babies, children, teens, young adults, parents, and grandparents worshiping together.
We believe there is something beautiful and healthy about generations learning from and encouraging one another in Christ.
Kids & Youth
We love investing in the next generation.
Throughout the month, children gather through Kids Huddles and Kids Church for Bible teaching, discussion, creativity, prayer, and activities designed to help them know and follow Jesus.
Our youth gatherings provide space for students to ask honest questions, study Scripture, build friendships, and grow in faith together.
Community & Discipleship
Church is more than attending a Sunday service.
At ABIDE, we believe spiritual growth happens through relationships, prayer, discipleship, meals, conversations, serving, and sharing life together.
As a smaller church community, we value being connected and known rather than simply attending anonymously.
Many people who visit ABIDE appreciate the warmth, accessibility, and genuine relationships that naturally grow in a close-knit church family.
What Should I Wear?
Most people dress casually, and there is no expectation to wear “your Sunday best”. Our desire is simply that people feel welcomed and comfortable.
